New Years Resolution #!: Replace my Air Filters!
01/01/2018 at 08:12 AMNew Year... New filters. It's that simple.
It is important to your health and the life of your purifier to replace the filters on an annual basis. You need to protect your health and protect your investment in the Rocky Mountain Air Purifier with clean filters every year.
For years we have heard reports from fire department recommending that we replace the battery in our smoke detectors on the first day of year because it is easy to remember. So why not start replacing the filters in your air purifier on the first day of the year also. New Year... New filters.
We fold (85) inches of media to create the HEPA filter. Rinsing the HEPA most certainly helps to extend the life of the filter for up to one year, but those deep folds are designed capture and trap the tiniest of particles, and can't be rinse out. Old used filters can become a breeding ground for bacteria, viruses, mold spores, etc. Continuing to use old filters could be dangerous to your health, and cause fan motor issues as well as other working pieces of the purifier.
